Consignment Frequently Asked Questions

Why should we use Experienced Books Program to sell our books?

You get our experience gained by selling 500,000+ books per year on the Internet. You receive more for your books, more quickly due to our pricing software. Your books are exposed on 17 different Internet marketplaces. There is no cost to you. You are paid monthly.

How much can we make?

Payments are made monthly after the account balance exceeds $50. Any amounts owing less than $50 will roll over to the next month. You earn your percentage of the net sales price. For example, we sell one of your books for $100. The marketplace commission is 15%, so the net sales price is $85. You are then paid your percentage of the $85.

What type of books and other media are accepted?

Generally anything that is sellable in a condition where you would like to have it. Please see our Acceptance Guidelines for full details.

How do I ship the books to you?

Once you sign up, you will be able to order boxes from us and we will give you access to our UPS label account to print shipping labels. You may use your own boxes, but they should be roughly 18x12x12 each. For larger collections, please contact us and we will arrange for a freight company to pick up pallets of books.

Which marketplaces are our books listed on?

Experienced Books lists your books on all major Internet marketplaces including Amazon US, Amazon Canada, Amazon Germany, Amazon France, eBay, Abebooks, Alibris, Biblio, Half.com and so on.

What happens to books that do not sell?

After about one year any remaining books may be removed from sale and donated to any non-profit partners that Experienced Books is then dealing with or recycled. No books ever go to any landfills. We have recycle tons of books every month.
